about

Yusuke Shima, a notable trumpet and flute player/producer in Japan's contemporary jazz scene, has been the project leader of the "Silent Jazz Case" series released since 2010. He has now embarked on a new project focused on sound production as a track maker, titled "Wind Loop Case," and has released a new album. In this project, Shima handles everything from trumpet and flugelhorn performance to programming.

Joining him in this project are:
Yusuke Kono, a rising star in the piano world who won the Grand Prix at SAPPORO CITY JAZZ 2015.
Riku Sugiura, a bassist to watch who has performed in over 100 shows annually and has appeared at Yokohama Arena.
Ayuko Namihira, a female singer who emphasizes live music and acoustic sound, with experience in national and Taiwan tours.
Makoto Otsu, a multi-instrumentalist who spent his childhood in Detroit, USA, and has collaborated with top musicians in the domestic and international jazz/R&B scenes due to his powerful beats and technique.

The album kicks off refreshingly with the title track, "Wind Loop Case," featuring Riku Sugiura on bass and Shima on instruments. Track 2, "Stompin at the M," resonates with Makoto Otsu's groovy beats, creating an energetic vibe. Track 3, "Floating Ocean," is a chill-out track that blends Yusuke Kono's piano with the sounds of the sea. Track 9, "dejavu," combines Shima's cool instrumental with Ayuko Namihira's magnificent vocals, delivering a jazzy R&B experience.

The album includes a total of 9 tracks, allowing listeners to savor Shima's new Jazzy Beats sound throughout.
