In the momentous year of their 15th anniversary since formation, a fitting new masterpiece has been born from bohemianvoodoo. Entitled "CROSSING," this highly anticipated work comes more than 4 years after their previous album, "Bouquet," released two and a half years ago.
The album carries a sense of nostalgia in its melodies, invoking a familiar warmth that makes one unconsciously hum along. Each track paints vivid scenes as if unfolding right before our eyes. The rhythm section has gained even more depth in this release,
hinting at the musical evolution of “bohe”.
Track 2, "Regal Grace," with its powerful and captivating intro, pushes us forward like a hymn to life, urging us on. Track 3, "Mystic," undergoes a dramatic change in atmosphere, weaving floating phrases into a grand soundscape. "Fireworks Night View" (Track 5) dances with a brilliant and festive melody, while "Clearing After the Rain" (Track 6) showcases the bright interplay between guitars and piano in classic “bohe” style.
Track 7, "Cradle," is a reprise of a song from their 2010 debut album, "Lapis Lazuli," revealing Bohé's musical maturity through new arrangements, much to the delight of long-time fans. "Bayfront Avenue" (Track 8) exudes a fusion-laden, refreshing groove reminiscent of their early works, leaving a pleasant impression.
The title track, "Crossing" (Track 10), is filled with gentle and heartfelt vocals, speaking to the listeners' souls. The album boasts a collection of exquisite compositions that impress from start to finish.
In the midst of the serendipitous days, this music emits a particularly gentle and warm hue, a treasure that will surely remain with you for a lifetime.
