An ambitious work by remarkable pianist Kaoru Hashimoto, co-produced by Yusuke Shima, with a wide range of musicality. The album is like a paradox between the innovative and the conservative in the contemporary jazz world, and between digital and analog in recording.
With the release of this album, Kaoru Hashimoto approaches these issues and says, "No matter what the situation is, I want to continue to make music and deliver excitement. That is the fate of a musician, and that is why I continued to work hard.”
(1) Paradox will give you a good sense of its spirit with a beautiful touch reminiscent of Art Tatum, and then suddenly develops into a high-speed contemporary piece.
As (12) "Zatto" evokes the cool, tense atmosphere of the city, and (6) "Streamside" makes you feel a refreshing, urban fusion number from his roots, and (4) "Sunlight" expands the melody as if a gentle light falls down, you can almost envision the title scene in your imagination. In creating this work, he challenged the paradox. This work expresses the way of life of a pianist who pursues a ray of light found in a chaotic world.
